POPULAR MUSIC MAGAZINES AVAILABLE ELECTRONICALLY TO SFSU AFFILIATES

The J. Paul Leonard Library has a large amount of electronic subscriptions to journals and magazines. This means that you can access these journals and magazines anywhere you have a connection to the internet. You will be asked for your SFSU ID number and Library PIN if you are trying to access these resources from off campus. Our music related electronic subscriptions cover the gamut of genres and time periods. Here are a few of our popular music subscriptions available through various library databases or through the electronic journal list.

New Musical Express is available via Lexis/Nexis-Academic.

Popular Music is available via a few routes. For the most current issues, access through Ebsco Host Electronic Journals Service ( Available from 2000 volume: 19 issue:1). For archival issues, access through JSTOR (Available from 1981-2002)

Popular Music and Society is available via Ebsco Host (Full Text: 06/01/1996 to present)

Rolling Stone is available through Ebsco Host (Available from 1990)

The library also offers a similar selection in our print journal subscriptions, which are located on the 2nd floor of the library, in the Periodicals Department. They are shelved in alphabetical order by journal title.
